It's time for our local Scottish friends' ball and workshop! This Saturday (October 8th) in Sisters they'll be learning during the day and dancing the night away. It sounds like a lot of fun and we wish we could go. If you can, check it out and let us know how it goes! A word to the wise though-- a Scottish ball or ceilidh is not the same as an Irish ceili. Meese, if you don't have experience doing Scottish dance just know that you may be spectating at the ball. The workshop, as far as I know, is open to everyone though. :) And if you're interested in being able to go to the ball and dance next year, don't forget to take the Scottish class every Monday from 7 to 9pm at the Sons of Norway. ^_^ For more details about the Workshop and Ball this Saturday, please check out the Scottish Country Dance of Bend and Central Oregon's Facebook event.
