Yay! Gaelic Storm is coming to Bend again! They're performing at 7:30pm at the Tower Theatre. Tickets are $32.50 or $42.50 depending on where you want to sit. (I know that's kind of spendy, but it is the Tower so what can you do? And Gaelic Storm is worth it. Like we've said before, their live show is a lot of fun [Mouse has been to see them what... six times or so?] and they're one of our favorites.)
Also, for those of you keeping track--the McKenzie Highland Games end at 5pm which is just enough time to get back and see Gaelic Storm. *hint hint nudge nudge* ;)

Oh em geeeee guys we got invited to dance at the Highland Games in Springfield next weekend! *Moose does a little happy dance* I am so excited I can't even write a serious blog post. Most of y'all already know about this, since we've been running around asking all of our awesome dancers to come with us, but the Frolicking Meese are going to be performing, on a stage, in front of people, at the McKenzie Highland Games (at least we think there's a stage...). And not because we paid or begged for the opportunity. THEY asked US! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! We'll be doing two performances each on Saturday (11am and 3pm) and Sunday (10:30am and 1pm). We will also have the pleasure of watching the Scottish Country Dance of Bend & Central Oregon High Desert's demo team! Go Suzie! Go Todd and Jennifer! I guess I'm just going to be a cheerleader today. Well, I certainly can't blame me. I'm excited, too. For anyone who isn't already going, it should be super fun. I've been informed that there will, in fact, be a caber toss. Yes, that's the thing where they throw a tree. There's also going to be a Scottish Ceilidh. Be aware, all you Irish dancers, that while they do use a lot of the same moves, Scottish dancers do not teach the dances beforehand. And they speak a different dance language, so translating will be a thing. Don't be scared off, but do know what you're getting in to :) Kilts ahoy! -Moose P.S. Check out the McKenzie Highland Games' website (linked above) for tickets and more info about all the cool stuff that's going on. ~Mouse Gaelic Storm is a really fun Celtic band whose music ranges from traditional Irish songs, to more folk-type music, to instrumental Celtic music. They put on an excellent live show and they're one of the Meese's favorite bands. We highly recommend going to see them if you like Irish music and can find the time. Luckily for us, they're playing three shows in Oregon this year. The second one will be in Portland at Revolution Hall. You can get tickets here.
