Wow! Can you believe it's the third week of April already? I can't. The great thing about the third week of April is that it's time for the Portland Ceili again! The sad part is that this is the last ceili in Portland until fall. (Tualatin has one in May and Salem goes through most of the summer though!) They deserve a really big crowd and a good send off before their summer break so if you can make it to St Barnabas Episcopal Church (2201 SW Vermont Street, Portland Oregon) by 8pm tonight, you should go! Doors open at 7:30. $12, $8 for members. For more info check out the Facebook event and Portland Ceili Society's website. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Gaelic Storm is a really fun Celtic band whose music ranges from traditional Irish songs, to more folk-type music, to instrumental Celtic music. They put on an excellent live show and they're one of the Meese's favorite bands. We highly recommend going to see them if you like Irish music and can find the time. Luckily for us, they're playing three shows in Oregon this year. The second one will be in Portland at Revolution Hall. You can get tickets here. To learn more about Gaelic Storm check out their website. There's another fun opportunity coming your way for anyone who can get to Portland tomorrow. Maldon Meehan is hosting a ceili at her studio!
