♫ On the seventh of December Sam Keator gave to me... A céili in a pear tree! ♫
Well... kind of. There isn't actually a pear tree. But there is a céili at the Winona Grange (8340 SW Seneca St) on December 7th. The doors open at 7pm and a dance lesson will follow shortly afterwards. The live music and dancing with last until 11pm (with a break for snacks in the middle). It's $12 per person or $10 for students and seniors. In the spirit of the season, the December Tualatin céili is also a food drive for the Tualatin School House Pantry, so don't forget your donations! Hope to see you there! Here's a link to the Facebook event and to IrishPDX's page in case you'd like more info. It's almost St. Patrick's Day! That means it's time to dance. :D
This Friday, March 16th, is the monthly Portland Ceili. Starting at 7:45 there will be a quick lesson and then dancing to live music from 8 to 11pm. The ceili takes place at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church (2201 SW Vermont Street, Portland, OR 97219). For more info, please check out Portland Ceili Society's Facebook event or their website. Griff and I are planning on going (unfortunately we can't offer rides at this point) and we hope to see some of you there too! #meesesighting #meesesighting
It's ceili time in Salem again! Come dance to live music from 8-11pm at the VFW Hall (630 NE Hood Street). $10/person. Hope to see some of you there! :) I've been hearing for years about this thing called "Hot Yoga" and how it's supposed to be so good for you. Well, I'm here to tell you about the new greatest thing in physical and psychological health: Hot Ceili! That's right! On July 14th at the VFW Hall in Salem, there will be a Ceili dance!
For more info check out the Facebook event, Ceili of the Valley's website and the poster below! #meesesighting -Griff Dancing is the best way to celebrate anything so come celebrate the start of summer with a ceili!

"I could have danced all night
I could have danced all night At Salem's Ceili Mor, I could have spread my wings And danced a thousand jigs And still have begged for more!" Now you know the song you'll be singing tonight, after you go to the ceili in Salem. So make sure to be at the VFW Hall (630 Hood St NE in Salem), around 7pm. Don't miss this golden opportunity to become a real-life musical! For more info check out their Facebook event or the Ceili of the Valley website. -Griff What do awesome Irish Music, super-fun Irish Dancing, Cinco De Mayo, and a really long drive have in common? They're all happening tomorrow! The last Tualatin ceili of the season is happening at 7:30 pm at Winona Grange (8340 SW Seneca Street). Don't miss it! For more info, check out the Facebook event or S and A Irish Entertainment's website! Wow! Can you believe it's the third week of April already? I can't. The great thing about the third week of April is that it's time for the Portland Ceili again! The sad part is that this is the last ceili in Portland until fall. (Tualatin has one in May and Salem goes through most of the summer though!) They deserve a really big crowd and a good send off before their summer break so if you can make it to St Barnabas Episcopal Church (2201 SW Vermont Street, Portland Oregon) by 8pm tonight, you should go! Doors open at 7:30. $12, $8 for members. For more info check out the Facebook event and Portland Ceili Society's website. |
