Well... kind of. There isn't actually a pear tree. But there is a céili at the Winona Grange (8340 SW Seneca St) on December 7th. The doors open at 7pm and a dance lesson will follow shortly afterwards. The live music and dancing with last until 11pm (with a break for snacks in the middle). It's $12 per person or $10 for students and seniors. In the spirit of the season, the December Tualatin céili is also a food drive for the Tualatin School House Pantry, so don't forget your donations! Hope to see you there! You've even managed to avoid too much panic about Christmas being less than 9 months away. But you need something to redeem this month so it doesn't live on in infamy in your memory. There is a solution. DANCING! BUT YOU HAVE TO HURRY! THE CEILI IS TONIGHT! AND IT'S IN TUALATIN! Seriously though, you should go. It's ceili time in Tualatin again! Tomorrow, January 6th, from 7:30 to 11pm they'll be dancing to live music at the Winona Grange #271 (8340 SW Seneca Street). Central Oregonians, if you're headed over the mountains, be careful and please consider stopping in to what is sure to be an amazing ceili! Irish Christmas in America is taking place at the Sherwood Center for the Arts in Sherwood, Oregon tomorrow night at 7:30pm. It sounds like a lot of fun! There are definitely still tickets left--$25 each. Check it out if you get the chance and let us know how it is. I've never gotten to go, but I really want to! More info here and here. It's ceili time in Tualatin again! Tonight at Winona Grange #241 (8340 SW Seneca Street) there will be a short lesson before the dancing begins at 8pm. It'll go until 11pm with a short break for snacks in the middle. Live music will be provided by Mikey Beglan, Joe Root and Bob Soper, with Sam Keator calling. It's $12 for adults and $10 for students, Veterans and those over 65. If you can, you should go and dance the night away especially before the weather gets bad! This year the kickoff act is The Gothard Sisters.
The Gothard Sisters, who are actually sisters, are a group of multi-instrumentalist Celtic-influenced folk musicians, songwriters, and performers from the Pacific Northwest. Their concert will be at Winona Grange #271 (8340 SW Seneca Street in Tualatin, OR) and it starts at 7:30. Tickets are available here.
