Hey everybody,
It's ceili time in Salem again! Yay! All the important details are below on their poster. :) Central Oregon people, I know it's unlikely you'll make it out there what with the snow, but keep in mind that second Fridays are pretty much always ceilis in Salem so you'll have plenty of chances to go. If you do head over, please be careful!

To quote the event description from Facebook, "This family-friendly performance features lively instrumental tunes on fiddle, flute, uilleann pipes and harp, along with thrilling Irish dancing from Samantha Harvey. In addition, evocative photographic images provide a backdrop to some of the rich historical traditions of Ireland. Take a memorable glimpse into the enchanting spirit of Christmas, as the finest traditional artists from Ireland, bring you on a fun-filled start to the holiday season of 2016."
Irish Christmas in America is taking place at the Sherwood Center for the Arts in Sherwood, Oregon tomorrow night at 7:30pm. It sounds like a lot of fun! There are definitely still tickets left--$25 each. Check it out if you get the chance and let us know how it is. I've never gotten to go, but I really want to! More info here and here. Get your tickets here. Even though the Meese are on hiatus for the holidays, we're going to keep posting about fun Irish or dance-related events. And tonight at 7:30pm is the Tualatin ceili! It will be at the Winona Grange #271. Live music will be provided by Conor O'Bryan, Preston Howard, and Bob Soper. $12 per person. What a fun way to start the Christmas season! It's also their annual food drive, so if you make the drive over there, you might consider bringing some food to donate. For more info, check out their Facebook event or Sam and Anne's website. |
